In 2006 Jann was the choreographer for Mashpee High School's sold out performances acclaimed version of the "Wizard of Oz" and the 2007 coach for the school's dance team, Kaleidoscope. The spring and summer of 2008 found her teaching flexibility classes at Xtreme Cheer All Stars in Sandwich, MA, which inspired her to act as curriculum developer for the KidzLinx facility.
Applying her dance education expertise, acquired by owning a successful dance studio with two locations, with an annual enrollment of over 500 students, in Canton and Easton, and inspiration from the Disney University courses she attended , Jann has created a new and exciting program not currently offered by ANY dance facility. All classes will have a specific curriculum encompassing the four areas all dance incorporates into their subject areas: turning, jumping, flexibility training and personal expression. She believes that Kidzlinx™ will offer classes for children to learn to dance, in a safe, fun, family-oriented, friendly atmosphere as an after school program, and that children will excel and achieve beyond their personal and parental expectations. Kidzlinx focuses on the new health and wellness policies many school districts now use in addition to realization that dance is a sport in addition to an art form.
Often called a "teacher's teacher", Ms. Davis will share her love of dance to the children under her care and encourages area teachers to attend the master teacher classes she and others will be conducting in the Southeastern MA area during the year. She hopes to inspire a spirit of collegiality in all dance educators locally and nationally.
